Rafael Rozendaal
Rafael Rozendaal is the second collaborator for our space. He creates incredible web pages that consist of continuous moving images in a variety of colours, shapes and styles.
This is a still from one of Rozendaal's websites. As you can see he incorporates colour and shape into interesting patterns that continuously move and change.
The collaboration videos created by Rozendaal using Pilotto's prints will be projected onto the continuous running wall of the Curve Gallery. These videos will also be continuous and will be overlapped to create the illusion of travelling visuals.
Displayed on the floor of the space underneath each projection there will be shards of mirrored acrylic that resemble broken glass and mirrors. The reflective qualities of this material allow the projection to travel further through the space, almost creating the feeling of walking through a large kaleidoscope.
This is a visualisation of how the projection will look both against the curved wall but also how the mirrored acrylic reflects the colours and print, creating a visually engaging experience.
Again, this is another visualisation of how the moving image will project against the curved wall and onto the mirrored acrylic. Pilotto's prints will reflect throughout the space, allowing the visitor to truly engage and enjoy.
