Olafur Eliasson
Olafur Eliasson is a visual artist who produces large installation pieces. His art is driven by his interests in perception, movement and embodied experience. His 'One Way Colour Tunnel' reflects perfectly the geometric style of Pilotto's prints.
As you can see in this image the tunnel appears very differently when travelling back through it from the opposite direction. This is a focal point of our exhibition, to highlight the journey between S/S and A/W.
This is where our tunnel will be located in the Curve Gallery, the narrowest part of the space. This will serve to signify the transition from A/W collections to S/S collections. Or from S/S to A/W when travelling in the opposite direction.
As visitors move through the passageway, they observe the fluctuating affect of light and reflections created by the colour-effect acrylic and acrylic mirrors.
On one side, the tunnels triangular panels seem completely black; from the other end, a multi-coloured spectrum shines through.
Here is a birds eye view of the tunnel in the space.
